About the SPI Select Dividend 20
The SPI Select Dividend 20 Index comprises 20 equities that represent the highest-yielding companies within the broader Swiss Performance Index (SPI). The selected constituents exhibit a stable dividend-paying track record and robust profitability. The weight of each component is determined by its free-float market capitalization and the normalized dividend yield, both calculated during the annual index review. Furthermore, a 15% capping factor is applied quarterly to limit the weight of each component and prevent excessive concentration. The index undergoes component rebalancing annually during the ordinary review in March.
The SPI Select Dividend 20 Index provides a targeted exposure to the highest dividend-paying Swiss equities. Widely utilized by asset managers and professional investors, it emphasizes stability and robust dividends.
The index was launched on April 24, 2014 with historical index values available since March 19, 2007. At that time, it was standardized at 1,000 points.
