About the Ethos Swiss Corporate Governance Index
The Ethos Swiss Corporate Governance Index evaluates the performance of SPI components while adhering to best practices in corporate governance. Its rule-based approach, outlined in the rulebook, mitigates exposure to significant governance risks by either underweighting or excluding issuers with such risks. These risks encompass factors like opting up/out clauses, unequal capital structures, and the combination of chairman and CEO roles. Additionally, the methodology reduces exposure to ESG controversies and strives to enhance the index’s carbon profile.
