SIX 1.5 °C Climate Equity

Secure the Recognition Your Sustainability Efforts Deserve

The SIX 1.5 °C Climate Equity Flag helps your company provide additional supporting evidence that its entire value chain is a contributor towards limiting global warming to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial level. The flag combines recognized requirements on the climate transition plan with additional requirements that arise from the application of the WFE Green Equity Principles (2023) to climate-change mitigation.

Eligibility most importantly requires that your company’s emissions targets are aligned with limiting global warming to 1.5 °C (similar to SBTi) and that the continued implementation of this 1.5 °C-aligned transition plan can reasonably be expected.

Additionally, eligibility requires disclosing specific sustainability-related data points that align with recognized industry standards wherever possible. No separate report is necessary, allowing your company to use existing reports and disclosures.

To obtain the flag, you must submit to SIX Swiss Exchange a confirmation by an approved reviewer that your company fulfills all the flag requirements. Once granted, you must publish the reviewer’s assessment report on your website. The flag is valid for one year, and. To retain the flag, you must annually submit an updated confirmation and then publish the updated assessment report on your website.

Companies awarded the flag receive recognition on a dedicated SIX webpage and can feature their achievement in their communications.
