About the SIX Crypto Market Index 10
The objective of the SIX Crypto Market Index 10 is to reliably measure the performance of the largest and most liquid crypto assets and tokens and provide an investable benchmark for this asset class.
The prices for the crypto assets and tokens are obtained from multiple exchanges. Crypto assets and tokens are eligible with an average market capitalization of over USD 1 billion over the last 30 days and with an average daily liquidity of USD 500,000 over the last 30 days. Those fulfilling the inclusion criteria are then ranked by their market capitalization and the top 10 are selected for the index.
The SIX Crypto Market Index 10 is reviewed on the third Friday of each calendar year quarter. The index was standardized at 1,000 points on December 30, 2016 and has been calculated on an ongoing basis since January 9, 2018.
