HANetf Becomes New ETP Issuer at SIX Swiss Exchange with Gold Product

SIX welcomes HANetf ETC Securities as its latest issuer of Exchange Traded Products (ETPs). With the launch of HANetf ETCs commodity-based ETP, investors now gain access to gold. The addition of HANetf ETC Securities as an ETP issuer further strengthens SIX’s position as the third-largest exchange in Europe – according to free float market capitalization.

The new HANetf Gold ETP, with symbol RMCH, provides investors with a way to gain exposure to the gold market. Flow Traders serves as the designated market maker, ensuring liquidity for the product. Each ETP is backed by physical gold bars custodied by The Royal Mint at their vault in Llantrisant, Wales. The gold custodied consists of London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) post-2019 good delivery bars, including a portion of recycled gold bars, with the potential for the proportion of recycled bars to increase over time.

With the inclusion of HANetf, the total number of ETPs available on SIX Swiss Exchange has increased to 206, while the number of ETP issuers has reached 20. The market for ETPs on SIX continues to experience significant growth, with the year-to-date turnover reaching CHF 2.23 billion across 151,000 trades, marking a substantial 235% increase in turnover and 161% rise in the number of trades compared to the same period of the previous year.
