In September, the SMI, the blue chip index of the Swiss stock exchange, fell slightly and ended the month under the 11,000 point mark – dropping 1.5% to 10,963.5 points. Since the start of the year, the performance stands at 2.2%.
Meanwhile, trading volumes on SIX Swiss Exchange developed positively: CHF 79.7 billion were traded in September – an increase of 11.8% over the previous month., with 3,372,005 transactions (+4.1% month-on-month).
