Today, medmix AG (Ticker "MEDX") listed its shares on SIX Swiss Exchange. The opening price was CHF 45.00 per share, resulting in an implied market capitalization (i.e. existing and newly issued shares) of CHF 1,857 million. The spin-off from Swiss industrial group Sulzer was completed by means of a demerger whereas existing Sulzer shareholders received one medmix share in addition to each Sulzer share held.
The company’s existing issued share capital comprised of 34,262,370 registered shares. In addition, 7,000,000 newly issued registered shares were offered and placed. At an issue price of CHF 45.00 per registered share, the placement volume was CHF 315 million. Such newly issued registered shares will commence trading on 1 October 2021.
