ETF Trends in Focus at the ETF/ETP Roundtable
The "ETF/ETP Roundtable" for professional investors took place following the event for private investors. The panel discussion on "ETF Trends" was followed by 60 participants from the financial and insurance industries as well as institutional investors. Jeffrey Vögeli, editor at finews.ch, moderated the panel discussion on current ETF developments with eloquent Rula Ipsaryaris, Senior Sales Executive and Deputy Head of Switzerland & Liechtenstein, Vanguard, Sven Württemberger, Head of Passive Sales Switzerland & Israel, DWS, and Ivan Durdevic, Head of ETF Distribution Switzerland, JP Morgan.
Weak global economic data, record low interest rates and their impact on fixed income ETFs as well as the importance of sustainability in the investment process were just some of the topics that were hotly debated by the three experts. The panelists highlighted how Swiss regulation is leading in comparison to its European neighbors in certain areas such as active ETFs and their potential.
