“Swapping standard indices with ESG versions is gaining additional momentum. It is great to see UBS taking this step and expanding their ESG fund offering,” comments Dr. Christian Bahr, Head Index Services at SIX. Raimund Müller, Head ETF & Index Fund Sales CH & LI at UBS highlights: “Sustainable investing is seeing strong capital growth worldwide, a trend reflected in asset growth in Switzerland. The growing popularity of using ETFs in sustainable investment strategies has enabled us to engage with our clients and remains at the core of our product development strategy. We will continue to expand our ESG ETF offering into the Swiss bonds segment.”
The SBI ESG Foreign AAA-BBB index contains the CHF-bonds of foreign issuers listed at the SIX Swiss Exchange. It is a subset of the overall SBI ESG index. With this index and the fund, investors can select their exposure in the fixed income segment more granularly.
