Following Credit Suisse and UBS, SIX today officially welcomes Zürcher Kantonalbank to b.Link. "With Zürcher Kantonalbank, which has been instrumental in developing the Open Banking platform from the very beginning, another major financial institution underscores the relevance of Open Banking for the Swiss financial center. This is an important step forward in our mission to connect banks and third-party providers in an efficient way," emphasizes Sven Siat, Head Connectivity at SIX.
Zürcher Kantonalbank and KLARA cooperating from the outset
Joining b.Link simultaneously heralds a strong partnership with accounting solution provider KLARA. Thanks to standardized interfaces, it will now be possible for joint corporate clients to easily and conveniently transfer payment data from their accounting tool directly to their e-banking. More information is available in the official KLARA media release (German).
Onboarding on b.Link to be greatly simplified in 2021
SIX will further develop the existing b.Link offering this year. One crucial milestone will be the simplification of the onboarding for third-party providers. With the new "Consent as a Service", SIX will in future offer security functions that third-party providers currently have to ensure themselves centrally via the b.Link platform. This significantly reduces the effort required for admission testing and makes connecting to b.Link even more convenient and cost-effective. A new developer portal will also allow interested parties to view all APIs available on b.Link, including technical specifications, and to simulate corresponding use cases in a test environment before implementation.
