SIX is only the 17th Swiss company to be accredited by the FIRST organization. The application must be accompanied by the recommendation of at least two sponsoring companies that are already part of the FIRST organization and vouch for the applicants. In addition, the candidate team must pass a maturity assessment, including an on-site visit, where the requirements for membership are validated and verified.
With the original goal to ensure a safer internet for all still valid, FIRST runs more than 20 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) focusing on anything from malware analysis to incident response ethics, develops and provides input to standards like the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) or the Traffic Light Protocol (TLP) for information sharing and defines Best Practices for many different areas of cyber security.
FIRST activities are underpinned by a community of close to 600-member incident response teams from all over the world – largest network of its kind.
