The highest turnover on a single trading day was recorded on 21 September (a triple witching day), which saw securities worth a total volume of CHF 10.9 billion changing hands. It was also the day on which the highest number of transactions was conducted, at 262,115. The stock that generated the highest turnover during the reporting month was Nestle N (CHF 8.8 bn), which was also the most-traded security (200,311 transactions).
