About the SPI Gender Equality
The SPI Gender Equality Index tracks Swiss equities based on their gender equality exposure. Inrate, a sustainability rating agency, provides the exposure scores. To qualify, components must have between 20% and 80% women on their board of directors and between 15% and 85% women in their management board. The index selects components annually in December and equally weights them. As of its launch date on March 8, 2021, the index represents approximately 6% of the free float adjusted market capitalization of the entire Swiss equity market.
The SPI Gender Equality is calculated end-of-day. The index has been calculated since March 21, 2015, when it was standardized at 100 points.
