About the UBS 100
The UBS 100 index represents the 100 largest Swiss stocks in the SPI measured by market capitalization. The index is a fixed component index. It differs from SPI Large Mid, which also contains 100 Swiss stocks, in the sense that there is no buffer applied in its component selection.
On April 1, 1987 the UBS 100 was standardized at 1,000 points. The index was launched on July 1, 1987 and is calculated every 3 minutes. As of today the index represents more than 98% of the free float market capitalization of the entire Swiss equity market.
