About the Spanish Indices by BME, a SIX company

Incorporated in 2001, Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) is the operator of all stock markets and financial systems in Spain and was acquired by SIX in 2020.

BME, a SIX company, calculates over 240 indices for Spain, covering a broad range of investment classes (equities, fixed income and derivatives). It also provides the renowned IBEX 35® index - the leading indicator for the Spanish economy and listed companies. It is widely used as an underlying index for trading in financial derivatives and as a benchmark for financial products such as index funds, ETFs and structured products.
