Q: How long does it take to receive feedback on my application?

The timeline can vary, but we aim to respond to all applications within two weeks. The entire process, from application to offer, typically takes about four to six weeks.

Q: Are there flexible working hours for interns?

The SIX hybrid working model also applies to interns. Nevertheless, we recommend that especially young talents spend more time in the office to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from colleagues and build their network within SIX.

Q: Is there a fixed duration of the internship program?

Our internship positions are offered for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 12 months.

Q: What kind of projects or tasks can I expect during my internship?

It all depends on the area in which you are doing your internship. We offer internships in a wide variety of departments at SIX. However, it is always important to us that you learn as much as possible and gain meaningful insight into the working world.

Q: Is there a mentoring program for interns?

We offer various coaching and mentoring opportunities for all our young talents at SIX. However, you will not have your own dedicated “mentor” in the internship right from the start. Your supervisor will act as your line manager and take on this role indirectly.

Q: Can the internship last longer than 12 months?

No, an internship position is typically not offered for longer than 12 months.

Q: When are the internship positions published?

Our internship positions are continuously published on our careers page throughout the year. There are therefore no fixed application deadlines. It's best to check our careers page regularly to make sure you don't miss out on any positions.

Q: Is it possible to apply for more than one internship position?

We always recommend focusing on one position. Nevertheless, it may be possible to be equally interested in different tracks. If you are applying for more than one position, it is best to explain this in your cover letter. Either way, we will process your application for only one position based on our evaluation.

Click on the red “apply” button in the job ad.
Apply directly on our site by creating a SIX profile and including your CV as well as a cover letter. Upload additional documents such as reference letters, if required. Diversity is important to us. Therefore, we are looking forward to receiving your application regardless of your personal background.
After we have received your application, we are going to send you a confirmation e-mail to inform you about the next steps.

What Happens After You Have Applied

If your Qualifications matches our requirements, we are going to invite you to a personal interview with the manager and possibly the team. You will learn more about the details of the position and the company.
If there is a mutal interest, we are going to send you the employment contract as well as further documents and information.

In addition to the hybrid working model, there is a coaching and mentoring program specifically for young talents that you can join if interested. We also offer various training courses through our SIX Academy to enhance your professional skills. Collaboration is one of our core values, and we live it! We have the NextGen Community for all SIX employees who are at the beginning of their careers. The community regularly organizes networking events, lunch lotteries, and many other activities to connect early-career professionals.

Are there opportunities for a full-time position after the internship?

The internship is a fixed-term employment contract, and there is generally no plan for subsequent employment. Nevertheless, there are often possibilities for permanent positions after the internship. This makes it all the more important to expand your network during the internship. Around 40% of interns continue with us directly after their internship.
